Will a joint department be created at Samarkand State University together with the German University of Applied Sciences Mittelhessen?

Professor of the Mittelhessen University of Applied Sciences in Germany, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Klaus Bechler shared his opinion on the creation of this department.
- Samarkand... Today I visited this city for the first time. I learned about Samarkand in my school years from history, and it has remained in my memory to this day. I heard many times that Samarkand was the center of science and education. Of course, in the transformation of each city into a cultural center, the role of higher educational institutions and other educational institutions located in this city is great. Mirzo Ulugbek Madrasah once played an important role in the development of Samarkand, and at present this task is performed by Samarkand State University.
I myself am a specialist in laser technology. We want to create a joint department of applied physics in cooperation with your university within the framework of a grant project of the DAAD organization. During today's visit, we set ourselves the goal of exploring the initial possibilities for opening the department, meeting with the faculty and students of the Faculty of Physics and exchanging views with them.
The department is known for the rapid introduction of the latest developments in the field of physics. It is gratifying that German and Uzbek scientists are working on such a project in cooperation and solidarity.
We plan to implement many projects with Samarkand State University. In particular, after the creation of the department, a student and faculty exchange program spontaneously begins to operate. I hope that this will serve to further strengthen bilateral ties between our universities and form friendly relations.
