Attitude

In the 2021-2022 academic year, 460 students of foreign higher educational institutions transferred to the correspondence department of Samarkand State University named after Sharof Rashidov. Many of them failed their exams (some in one or two, some in all different subjects) and had academic debts. An analysis of the USE results showed that these students were not prepared at the required level at the first stage of foreign universities, most of them did not even know the basic subjects of jurisprudence. As a result, the majority of these students failed to master second-level subjects.
On September 28, 2022, a briefing was held at SamDU with the participation of the university administration, the press secretary of the hakim of the Samarkand region M. Mirzaev and students. During the briefing, it was explained that the university management had decided to cancel the payment for classes organized in various subjects. However, at the 2nd stage, that is, at the sessions of the 2021-2022 academic year, students who received “deuces” in the exams will be required to organize repeated classes based on the size of the base fee. contract, in accordance with the amount of credits for unlearned subjects. It was also emphasized that they must fulfill the plan.
It should be noted that this is not a measure invented by Samarkand State University. According to chapter 8, paragraph 41 of the Regulation "On the procedure for introducing a credit-modular system into the educational process in higher educational institutions", approved by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 31 No. 824, 2020 RA, students with academic indebtedness are granted the right to re-study unlearned subjects after making payment based on the amount of the main payment contract in accordance with the amount of undisbursed loans in the relevant subjects during the holidays or during the next semesters. Some students understand this as payment for passing exams, not for missing exams, and try to convey the problem on social networks.
At the same time, most of the students of the correspondence department of "Jurisprudence" who switched to study correctly understand this situation and retake exams in various subjects, and some students with a destructive attitude try to mislead others. It is a pity that people who do not know the real situation are busy complaining.
Samarkand State University calls on students who have been transferred to study to comply with established procedures and refrain from making statements on social networks with false headlines.
