Cooperation between Samarkand State University and higher educational institutions of Hungary...
The Institute of Agrobiotechnologies and Food Security of Samarkand State University organized a practical trip to the Embassy of Hungary in Uzbekistan in order to further strengthen cooperation with Hungarian agricultural universities. During the trip, the director of the institute, associate professor Toshpulot Radjabov and the deputy director of the institute for scientific work and international cooperation Ferenc Lantos held talks with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary, Mr. Gyula Kovacs.
During the meeting, issues of strengthening cooperation in a number of areas were discussed. In particular, Ambassador Gyula Kovacs emphasized the creation of conditions for the wide involvement of scientists from the University of Szeged and the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE) in the educational and scientific fields of the Institute of Agricultural Biotechnology and Food Security of SamSU.
Particular attention was also paid to the opportunities for SamSU students to study at Hungarian universities within the framework of the Stipendium Hungaricum program.
The Embassy expressed its readiness to help establish relations with the Hungarian manufacturing company Pannon Pharma and Gedeon Richter, specializing in the cultivation and processing of medicinal plants, as well as create internship opportunities at these enterprises for SamSU students.
In order to implement the work agreed upon during the meeting, the staff of the Institute will closely cooperate with representatives of the Hungarian Embassy.
