Samarkand State University together with the North Caucasus Federal University is holding an international scientific and practical conference on this topic "Geographical problems of countries and regions: fundamental and practical aspects"...

      The international conference was held in a hybrid form, conducted in Uzbek and Russian. Professors, researchers and students of the Faculty of Geography and Ecology of SamSU took part in this conference with their lectures. “Socio-economic conditions as an element of assessing the wind energy potential” by Rasuljon Mamadjanov, head of the Department of Geography and Natural Resources of the SamSU (Ph.D.) and “Mapping and assessment of desertification in the Bukhara region using geospatial technologies”, university professor Mohid Nazish Khan, who spoke at the plenary session of the conference, his lectures on topics aroused great interest among the participants.

      The main goal of the conference is to further strengthen cooperation between universities, exchange of new scientific ideas.
