Department of Analytical Chemistry

The department was founded in 1933 on the initiative of Associate Professor Yu.G.Titova. During the Second World War, the department was terminated and in 1967 prof. It was resumed on the initiative of A.H. Ataullaev. From 1967 to 1979 he associate professor Nusrat Safarovich Zokirov, from 1979 to 1984 associate prof Vladimir Anatolevich Alekseevsky, from 1984 to 1989 prof. Timur Kurbanovich Hamrokulov, from 1989 to 2010 prof. O.Fayzullaev, from 2010 to 2014 associate prof A.Kuvatov, from 2014 to 2016 associate prof E.Ruziev, from 2016 to 2021 prof. E.Abdurahmanovs were head of the department. R. Begmatov has been execuitve head of the department since 2021 (PhD).

The department has 12 professors and teachers in 10.5 staff units. One of them is a doctor of chemical sciences, professor, 5 associate professors, 4 of them are candidates of chemical sciences, 1 of them is a candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, 2 of them are senior lecturers (PhD), and 4 of them are assistants. Today, the scientific potential of the department is 67%.

The department has special laboratories "Methods of electrochemical analysis", "Methods of spectroscopic analysis", "Methods of chromatographic analysis" and "Methods of gas analysis". Professors and teachers of the department conduct research on "Development of methods and tools for the control of environmental objects". The department trains highly qualified chemist-analysts for industrial enterprises and medical institutions, universities, academic lyceums, colleges and high schools of the country.

As a result of fruitful work of professors and teachers of the department prepared and published 5 textbooks, 20 manuals, more than 120 teaching aids and recommendations.

Professors and teachers of the department are currently conducting research on several state grants and economic contracts.

The department has PhD program in 02.00.02-Analytical Chemistry.
