A scientist from Samarkand State University is participating in an international congress in Turkey...
The 10th International Turkology Congress is being held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Turkology Institute at Istanbul University.
At this prestigious scientific event, Doctor of Philology, renowned Turkologist-scholar Jo‘liboy Eltazarov is participating. The representative of our university delivered a lecture on the topic "Turkology Research in the Central Asian Republics" at the first plenary session.
It should be noted that the famous higher educational institution, the Turkology Institute at Istanbul University, which holds a sister university status with Samarkand State University, was established in 1924 on the initiative of the great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Over the past century, this institute has made a significant contribution to the study of Turkic civilization, including Uzbek language and culture. Notably, under the directorship of the renowned Turkologist Kemal Eraslan, who served as the director of this institute, a 21-volume collection of the works of Alisher Navoi was published. Some of our great ancestor’s rare manuscripts were also found by the institute’s scholars in manuscript collections in Turkey and brought into scientific circulation.
The Turkology Research Institute at Samarkand State University is actively engaged in close scientific relations with the Istanbul Turkology Institute.
