Samarkand State University was visited by the Secretary General of the International Association of Russian Language Teachers (MAPRYAL) Natalya Brunova and the Director of the Office Alexander Korotyshev. The guests were received by SamSU Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Akmal Akhatov.

    The main purpose of the visit is to establish international cooperation with Samarkand State University and improve the quality of Russian language teaching.

    - The International Association of Teachers of the Russian Language, as a non-governmental public association, is engaged in the popularization, preservation and study of the Russian language and literature. “This organization was founded in Paris in 1967,” says Alexander Korotyshev. - Members of this organization are more than 200 leading philologists, Russian linguists, literary critics, culturologists from 70 countries of the world. At present, the founders of the Association are Moscow State University, St. Petersburg State University, Peoples' Friendship University of Russia and A.S. Russian language named after Pushkin-state institutions. Since 2019, the Chairman of the Association is Vladimir Ilyich Tolstoy. The headquarters is located in St. Petersburg. The International Association of Teachers of the Russian Language regularly holds forums, conferences, seminars, competitions, olympiads, festivals, as well as linguistic research. The main partners of the association are the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Education and Science of Russia, the Russian Academy of Education, OAO Gazprom, the Russkiy Mir Foundations. We intend to establish cooperation with Samarkand State University. That is, we offered to participate in grants, projects, scientific research of our organization.
