A literary evening dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Firogi was held at the Faculty of Philology of Samarkand State University.

      The conference was attended by the first vice-rector for youth affairs and spiritual and educational work of Samarkand State University Rustam Yuldashev, teachers and students.

      The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Philology of Samara State University, Professor Zhuliboy Eltazarov.

      Also, lectures were given by Mahfuza Davronova, professor of the department of theory of literature and literature of the period of independence of Samara State University, on the topic “Autobiographical features in the poetry of Magtymguly” and associate professor Sobirjon Takhirov, “Lessons of Magtymguly”.

      At the end of the event, a film about the life and work of Magtymguly Firogi was shown.
