Information appeared on social networks that the one-day salary of the teaching staff and workers of Samarkand State University was forcibly transferred to the account number of the Mahalla Charitable Public Foundation.
According to paragraph 8 of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 199-F dated April 26, 2022, voluntary funds of employees working in ministries, departments and other organizations in connection with the national holiday will be transferred free of charge to the Uzbek “Mahalla”, it is recommended to transfer funds to the bank accounts of the republican management of the public fund and the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent city departments, district and city departments.
725 professors, teachers and employees of Samarkand State University voluntarily applied for the transfer of one-day wages to the account of the Mahalla Charitable Public Fund, according to their applications.
Vice-rector for financial and economic work of Samarkand State University, senior lawyer, committee of the primary trade union duly considered and agreed with their application.
It is appropriate to mention the following information here. SamSU employs 2,400 professors, teachers and staff, of which only 725 agreed to receive a one-day salary. Money was not necessarily deducted from the monthly salary of other employees. There was no violation of the law in this respect. No one complained about being forced to write a statement.
