Researchers led by Associate Professor of the Department of Archeology of Samarkand State University Odil Ergashev conducted archaeological research in the villages of Pangat, Kumolokli, Minishkar, Oboi, Shova of the Kushrabad district of the Nurata ridge. Scientists from the Samarkand Archaeological Institute of the National Center for Archeology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in the study.
As a result of the research, several stone objects were found that, according to the method of manufacture, belong to the Late Paleolithic and Neolithic of the Stone Age.
Caves, springs, places of accumulation of stone raw materials, which presumably belong to the Stone Age, were also mapped. It is expected that the studies that we plan to conduct in the future will provide important information covering the ancient history of Uzbekistan.
