Samarkand State University was visited by a delegation headed by Vice-Rector for International Relations of the Italian University of Insubria Barbara Pozzo. Members of the delegation were received by Vice-Rector for International Relations of the SamSU Akmal Akhatov.

    The main purpose of the visit is to establish international cooperation, train students of the magistracy under the 1 + 1 program, as well as exchange personnel with SamSU researchers.

    - My first visit to Samarkand State University. The main goal is to establish and strengthen partnerships, says Vice-Rector for International Relations of the University of Insubria, Professor Barbara Pozzo. – I would like to raise the issue of cooperation on two projects. Firstly, to implement scientific projects in the field of tourism with SamSU, the University of Insubria, the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage "Silk Road". The essence of this project is to develop tourism and expand its flow. The second project concerns the safety of production and food products. That is, planting and propagating tree species that are used for quality production. This project was organized with 7 universities in Europe and is producing effective results.

    In addition, the members of the delegation proposed, starting from 2024, together with SamSU, to introduce a mobile system for teaching master's programs in the direction of hotel management and archeology. An agreement was also reached on continuing the education of doctoral students in certain areas of Samarkand State University at the University of Insubria.

    During the visit, the guests got acquainted with the archaeological and zoological museums of Samgu.
