The value of ground beetles in nature

In the world of natural science, an important issue is to determine the ways of biological protection of plants, the study of the animal and plant world, useful and effective in this regard. Under the biological protection of plants is understood the fight against some dangerous parasites for them, the treatment of their various diseases. Insects that have such a feature in nature are bubbly. Ground beetles are one of them. Ground beetles occupy one of the first places in terms of the number of species among all genera of beetles and are of great importance for the destruction of harmful insects in ecosystems.
Master of the Faculty of Biology of Samarkand State University Dilnoza Zakirova conducts a scientific study on the topic "Comparative analysis of variations of some morphological characters in beetles of the family Carabidae (Beetles)". Scientific Supervisor - Associate Professor of the Department of Zoology Erkin Abdullayev.
- Ground beetles are one of the most well-studied groups of beetles, - says researcher Dilnoza Zakirova, - in terms of species diversity, this family is one of the largest families of beetles. However, despite the fact that the diversity of ground beetles has been widely studied in different regions, there are very few works devoted to the study of variations in their systematically significant morphological characters in different territories and in different taxa. For most of their species, especially for the endemic species of Uzbekistan or Central Asia, a morphological description is not given, and guides to species and genera have not been developed.
Ground beetles play an extremely important role in the destruction of various insect pests and parasites, as well as in the biological protection of plants in general. Therefore, it is important to study its significance in nature.
The main goal of our study is to identify the most important morphological features of ground beetles, to study their variations across regions and systematic groups, and to reveal the systematic significance of these features.
