The monograph of the researcher of the Samarkand State University Emr Yilmaz "The mental world of Magtymguly Firogi" has been published.

    This work details the life, family, educational institutions, manuscripts, literary pseudonyms, literary personality and art of the famous Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Firogi (1724-1807). Linguistic and artistic means in the writer's works, the role of semantic elements in the revival of concepts and images are discussed. At the same time, the history of studies of Magtymguly's creativity in Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Russia and Turkey is presented in general terms.

    The study of Magtymguly's work in world literature has almost two centuries of history, from that time to the present day, many works have been written about his artistic skills, his contribution to world culture from the point of view of ideology in different countries. In this study, the main goal was to reveal the classical mentality and structure of classical thinking, to highlight the eighteenth century on the example of the creative heritage of Firoga, to reveal its power of perception, to show the expressive elements of poetry and expressions.

    At the same time, attention was paid to the world of Makhtumkuli's expressions and his place in classical literature was revealed. It has been proven that the inclusion of the achievements of the Turkic studies of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey in scientific research is useful in a holistic approach to Magtymguly. The semantic analysis of phraseological units of the classical period is based on the fact that they serve as a source for providing important information from the point of view of the history of the language, when creating linguistic studies. Phraseologisms in the poet's works are analyzed in lexicological and semantic aspects.

    The research materials can be used by linguists and literary critics as sources in their practical and scientific research. The opinions and suggestions expressed in the work serve as a source for research conducted on the works of Magtymguly Firogi, in particular, to study the poet's work, study the Turkmen literature of the classical period, and determine the significance of the scientific works of Uzbek scientists.

    The book is intended for teachers of Uzbek literature of the classical period, who are independently preparing for admission to a higher educational institution, a wide range of readers and all those interested.
