The monograph of the researcher of the Samarkand State University Tugba Yilmaz "Imagination and image in the poetry of Abdulla Oripov" was published.

    This monograph analyzes the works of the People's Poet of Uzbekistan, Hero of Uzbekistan Abdulla Oripov, one of the greatest poets of Uzbek literature of the independence period, since rich and ancient cultural traditions have been preserved in his work. Extensive information about the life and work of Abdulla Oripov has been disclosed. Important figures in the classical and modern Uzbek literature, which influenced the formation of the poetic style of the poet, are identified.

    Abdulla Oripov was the inspiration for the poems of his family, children, grandchildren and the countries he traveled to. The poet, who visited many countries during his lifetime, also described his memories of those places in verse. This broadened his horizons, increased literary creativity. As a natural bearer of Uzbek culture, he felt the need to represent Uzbekistan and Uzbeks in the countries he visited.

    He wrote poems about Turkey, Istanbul, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Italy, Rome, Geneva, Versailles, Los Angeles, America, San Francisco, Mexico, Jamaica, Osaka, Kyoto, Japan, Europe, Yerevan, Armenia, France. In these works, the poet spoke about his memories of those countries and cities. The universal themes in his poems are also important in translating works of human love into many languages.

    In the theoretical foundations of the study, using books written in Uzbekistan and Turkey, the concepts of imagination and image, as well as their application in poetry, are explained. A. In many of Oripov's poems, his works were analyzed about the meaning of the concept of poetry, about the tasks of the poet, about the power of poetry. In the poems of Abdulla Oripov about the family, children, grandchildren, state institutions where he went, about his future dreams, elements of the imagination were reflected.

    In the works of Abdulla Oripov, devoted to nature, kinship, historical figures, poetry, poet, morality, religion, virtue, perfect man and other topics, elements of the image are revealed, figurative meaning and semantic aspects are proved.
