From August 1 to 5 this year, at the initiative of the Research Institute of Family and Women, with the assistance of the United Nations Population Fund in Uzbekistan, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) on legal reforms in Uzbekistan, a field summer school was held for five days on the topic “ Modern trends in scientific research: methodology and tools”. The Summer School was attended by 20 students from different regions of the republic. 50 percent of the participants are students with advanced degrees, among them Lutfullo Ibragimov, Associate Professor of the Department of Socio-Economic Geography of Samarkand State University.

    This summer school will conduct scientific research, presentations with scientific reports and reports on demography and gender by international experts from the UN Population Fund, the National Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights, the State Committee on Statistics, the Research Institute of Family and Women, Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers, National Research University held master classes.

    “The knowledge gained by our students during the summer school contributes to the correct study of a scientific problem, the correct measurement of scientific research, data processing and analysis, and data visualization,” says Associate Professor Lutfullo Ibragimov. - The conducted summer school promotes the exchange of knowledge and experience between young scientists, further expansion of the base of experts and young scientists of the research institute “Family and Women”, constant cooperation with researchers working in the field of demography in higher educational institutions of the republic.
