7 students and 2 graduates of Samarkand State University defended the honor of our country at the 5th Islamic Unity Games held in the Turkish city of Konya.

    In uncompromising competitions, our students participated with dignity and achieved high results.

    Students and graduates of Samarkand State University in judo brothers Sardor and Kemran Nurillaev won gold and silver medals and noted a high rating.

    In freestyle wrestling, Shahida Akhmedova won a silver medal.

    Members of the Uzbekistan national team showed the highest result in weightlifting at these competitions. The current world champion among youths and juniors Sharofiddin Amriddinov, despite being the youngest participant, won a bronze medal and became the hero of the day.

    Roxana Khudoyerova, a successful track and field athlete, won a bronze medal in the long jump with a score of 6.32 meters.

    Having adequately performed at the World and Asian Championships, Botirjon Ismatov won a bronze medal in the team competitions in the cycling track and was recognized as the best cyclist.

    The duo of SamSU student Amirkhon Sadykov and FarSU student Ziedakhon Abdusattorova won a bronze medal in mixed archery.

    The bronze medal went to the medalist of the Olympic Games “Tokyo-2020”, a graduate of SamSU Davlat Bobonov, who notes the high rating in the world of judo in 2022.

    Ozodbek Ungalov was a little unlucky in the fight for the bronze medal in archery with the Olympic champion “Tokyo 2020” Turkish Meto Gazzazo and he took 4th place.

    - This competition was exciting and very difficult for me. I fought to the end, indeed, my opponents are much stronger. My teammates are more experienced and younger than me. Every time I walked up the catwalk, I only thought about the trust and responsibility that was given to me. I express my gratitude to the family, relatives, in particular, the team of Samarkand State University. I dedicate this modest victory to the 31st anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

    Botirjon Ismatov, student of Samarkand State University, winner of the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games in cycling:

    - For me, Konya 2021 V Islamic Solidarity Games were not easy. Initially, the track velodrome failed in the singles competition, finishing 4th. But I did not retreat, my family, relatives, the team of Samarkand State University supported me. In the team competition of this direction, I won a bronze medal.

    Roksana Khudoyerova, student of Samarkand State University, participant of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in athletics, bronze medalist of the 5th Islamic Unity Games:

    - This year I am participating in a number of international and prestigious competitions, defending the honor of our country. V Games of Islamic Solidarity I was also lucky, and I won a bronze medal. Samarkand State University always inspires me to succeed in these competitions.     - This competition was unforgettable and full of interesting events for me. At first I could not show a good result in single competitions. I was a little depressed. But the trust and support given to me by the Samarkand State University team gave me strength in the subsequent debate. In a duet with FarSU student Ziedakhon Abdusattorova, I won a bronze medal in mixed doubles. This is a great happiness for me.

    - When I think about Samarkand State University, I have the best memories, a wonderful atmosphere always reigns. In all areas, young people are provided with ample opportunities.     - It is a great honor for me to study at Samarkand State University. V I was a bit unlucky due to my inexperience in the Islamic Solidarity Games. In the fight for the bronze medal, I lost to the archery champion of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, Turkish Meto Gazzazo. I will not deviate from this, I will still achieve my goal.
