Samarkand State University was visited by a delegation led by the rector of the Turkish Pamukkale University, Professor Ahmet Kutlukhan. The guests of honor were received by Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Akmal Akhatov and Director of the Institute of Agrobiotechnologies and Food Security of Samarkand State University Tashpulat Rajabov.

    The main purpose of the visit is to establish international cooperation and exchange of students under the Erasmus program. It also provides for constant cooperation in order to develop agro-biotechnologies, agrarian, seed genetics ...

    - Pamukkale University, founded in 1992, is an ancient educational institution with a long history, - says Professor Ahmet Kutluhan. - This university has 20 faculties, where 45 thousand students study. It is mainly focused on the agricultural sector and has 38 research centers and 256 laboratories. Pamukkale University has 6 institutes and 17 vocational schools. There are over 90 bachelor's degree programs, over 150 master's programs and over 50 doctoral programs in various fields including medicine, agriculture, seeds, engineering, economics, natural sciences, social sciences, arts, pedagogy and technical fields. The main purpose of today's visit is to train mature specialists in the field of agrobiotechnologies, agrarian and seed genetics. We have laboratories with the latest modern technologies, especially in the field of seed genetics. I believe that if we work in cooperation in this area, we will be able to create new and productive varieties of seeds...
