Kattakurgan branch of Samarkand State University was established in 2021 and received 703 students in 11 educational areas. In the new academic year, 481 students in 12 educational areas entered.

    Today, before the start of the school year, a new building of the branch was commissioned. The opening ceremony was attended by the mayor of Kattakurgan, member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Gavhar Alimova, vice-rector for scientific work and innovation of Samsu Hakim Khushvaqtov, branch director Sherzod O'roqov and professors.
