From October 9 to 11, the III International Symposium "Historical Geography of the Seljuks in Turkistan" will be held at Samarkand State University. Prior to this international event, the rector of Turkey's Necmettin Erbakan University, Professor Cem Zorlu, visited SamSU.

     The rector of Samarkand State University, Rustam Kholmurodov, a prominent scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan and a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, met with the distinguished guest. During the discussion, cooperation relations were reviewed, and it was agreed to conduct research on relevant topics and to establish scientific centers.

      At the end of the meeting, a cooperation memorandum was signed between the parties.

       During the visit, Professor Cem Zorlu became acquainted with the activities of the Samarkand State University Institute of Turkology.
