A delegation led by Professor Christoph Werner, the director of the Institute of Oriental Studies at Bamberg University in Germany, visited Samarkand State University.

     The guests met with Akmal Akhatov, the vice-rector for international cooperation at Samarkand State University.

   During the meeting, they agreed to launch new projects in collaboration and conduct scientific research within the framework of the university's manuscript collection. They discussed establishing student and faculty exchange programs, organizing summer schools and international conferences, sending students for internships, and preparing educational materials.

      For reference, Samarkand State University established cooperative relations with Bamberg University in Germany in 1993. To date, more than 10 faculty members from the university have completed internships at Bamberg University.
