Samarkand State University was visited by a delegation led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Uzbekistan Agostino Pinna.

      Rector of Samarkand State University, scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Rustam Khalmuradov met with honorary officials.

      The higher education systems of Uzbekistan and Italy were discussed at the meeting. An agreement was reached to study Italy’s experience in the field of agrobiotechnology and food safety and establish an exchange of professors and teachers.

      Rector of Samarkand State University Rustam Khalmuradov put forward a number of proposals to expand cooperation with Italian universities.

      There was also an exchange of ideas on creating an Italian educational center at SamSU.
