An event with the same name was held at Samarkand State University. The forum was attended by Jamila Shermukhamedova, a member of the Expert Commission of the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment; Gulshan Asatova, a member of the Republican "Wise Women" movement; Tulinoy Qodirova, the chief specialist of the Committee for Family and Women; and Zebo Saidova, Deputy Governor of Samarkand Region and Head of the Regional Department for Family and Women.

The event was moderated by Associate Professor Sharofat Tukhliyeva, Advisor to the Rector of SamSU on Women's and Gender Equality Issues.

 

    At the event, lectures were delivered on the role of women—especially educated, enlightened, and entrepreneurial women—in the development of society, gender equality, increasing women’s activity in the family and community, preventing early marriage among girls, and the negative consequences of consanguineous marriages.At the end of the event, the “Women's Enlightenment” movement and its future plans were discussed. Orziboni Yusupova, an associate professor at Samarkand State University, was approved as the regional leader of this movement.It was emphasized that this movement will act as a supporting wing of the Republican and regional departments for family and women, similar to the “Wise Women” initiative.
