Samarkand State University was visited by a delegation led by Deputy Head of the Tambov Region Natalya Makarevich. Rector of Samarkand State University, scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Rustam Kholmurodov met with high-ranking officials.

      The members of the delegation were accompanied by Nozir Ibragimov, assistant to the khokim of the Samarkand region for the development of local industry.

      The dialogue provided information about the Samarkand and Tambov regions. Issues of cooperation in the fields of education, economics, and agriculture were discussed. The parties agreed to develop new projects in the fields of energy, ecology and national economy.

      The head of the delegation made a proposal to open a Tambov trading house in Samarkand to develop entrepreneurship between the parties. He also indicated that there is an enterprise in Tambov that produces finished products from waste and there is an opportunity to purchase raw materials in Uzbekistan.

      Rector of Tambov State University, Professor Pavel Moisev highly appreciated the activities of SamSU and spoke about the possibilities of implementing a number of projects in cooperation in the field of quantum technologies, nuclear physics and agrobiotechnologies.

      Rector of Samarkand State University Rustam Khalmuradov and scientists from Tambov State University discussed the issues of growing soybeans in the fields of Samarkand.
