Doston Bahriev, a researcher at the Institute of Agro-biotechnology and Food Security of Samarkand State University, won the Marion Dönhoff Fellowship grant funded by the Michael Zuckow Foundation in Germany.

 Within the framework of this grant, the researcher will carry out a PhD research work on “Development of criteria for assessing the current state of forest ecosystems of the Zarafshon River” at the University of Greifswald. The research work will be supervised by Rustam Murzakhanov, an expert of the “Protected Areas and Biosphere” group of the Zukkov Foundation, Rakhmatilla Eghamberdiev, a professor at the University of Greifswald, and Toshpulot Rajabov, director of the Institute of Agrobiotechnology and Food Security at SamSU.
