Influence of Oriental languages on French language

Nigora Negmatova, French teacher at the Department of Romano-Germanic Languages at Samarkand State University teaches French to students as director of the “Campus France” Information Centre, a joint venture with the Embassy of France in Uzbekistan. It also helps students, who wish to study at French universities to choose a university that suits their study form, direction and interests. In addition to teaching students, Nigora Negmatova conducts research on the influence of Oriental languages on French. To date, about 10 of her scientific articles have been published in prestigious scientific journals of our republic, Russia, Germany and France. She recently returned from an international forum in Paris.
“It should be noted that with the establishment of cultural ties between peoples, there was an exchange of words between languages,” told Nigora Negmatova. — This phenomenon occurs in all languages and enriches the vocabulary of the language. For example, as a result of the influence of the Persian-Tajik and Arabic languages on the Uzbek language, a number of words and phrases entered our language. Likewise, though not many, there are some instances of words from other languages in French language. In my research, I tried to study this process in French. We are currently preparing for a summer language course in Paris for gifted students, who study French language.
For information, these language courses are scheduled for August in Paris, France, where students will have the opportunity to spend their holidays in Paris and learn French from leading professionals. Young people interested in French can apply at “Campus France”.
