Cooperation between Samarkand State University and Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology

Through the ZOOM platform, a meeting was held between the rector of Samarkand State University, a scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rustam Kholmurodov, and representatives of the Chinese Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology (SATU).

During bilateral negotiations, issues of further development of international relations, the establishment of academic exchange in a number of areas were considered: chemical technology, materials science, concrete and natural sciences, architecture in the framework of cooperation with Samarkand State University and Xi'an University. Architecture and technology were widely discussed.

- Samarkand has always been the center of science and culture, - says the rector of Samarkand State University, scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan Rustam Kholmurodov, - the Uzbek and Chinese peoples are connected by the Great Silk Road, relations between them date back to the pages of the distant past. Today there are relations of cooperation in all spheres. Cooperation between Samarkand State University and Chinese universities has a rich history. These include Shanghai, Wuhan State Universities, Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, Xinjiang Institute of Physics and Chemical Technology. As part of this cooperation, a number of researchers and scientists from Samarkand State University returned to Chinese universities for training and internships. A similar goal underlies the planned collaboration with Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology. But now not only teachers, but also students and undergraduates, doctoral students will be able to practice at this university. Such contacts in the field of joint educational programs and scientific exchange will bear fruit. I believe that this meeting, which brought together the views of two prestigious universities, will open a new generation with deep potential in the world of science.

- At today's meeting, the expansion of cooperation between Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology and SamSU was discussed, - says Sanjar Tillaev, Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry, - The most relevant and main areas today are the exact and natural sciences, materials science, management, human beings. Agreements were reached on the exchange of undergraduates and doctoral students in areas such as resource management, architecture and art history. A number of practical proposals have been put forward in terms of achieving scientific innovations that create the foundations for a sustainable future, and conducting research based on scientific and academic exchange, combining the existing capabilities and potentials of SATU professors and scientists with SamSU scientists. I think that cooperation between Samarkand State University and SATU will become an important factor for conducting research on current topics around the world, creating new discoveries and innovations in the world of science.

During the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Samarkand State University and Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology.

This visit has become an important means of establishing strong cooperation in the field of science and education between the two countries in all areas.
