Solar panels are relevant, important and necessary

On February 8, 2023, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at a meeting held in Tashkent on the development of energy and transport infrastructure, improvement of mahallas and employment of the population, stated that the installation of solar panels would be beneficial for both the energy system and families.
At an online meeting chaired by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov, it was emphasized that solar panels should cover at least 70% of the annual electricity consumption of the university and gave recommendations to responsible persons.
In order to ensure the fulfillment of the tasks set, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation has created a working group that is carrying out a number of works on the installation of solar panels in higher educational institutions.
Samarkand State University was visited by a working group of the teaching staff of the Tashkent State Technical University, which held a seminar on the construction of solar power plants and alternativeization of electricity. The event was attended by representatives of 14 higher educational institutions of the region. During the conversation, the experts exchanged views and experience on improving the efficiency of solar panels.
- According to the President, the use of solar panels and energy saving will benefit people, - says SamSU Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Khakim Khushvaktov. - In fact, today it is impossible to imagine life without electricity. Developed countries are already meeting their daily needs with solar panels. Samarkand State University also carried out systematic work to improve the efficiency of the use of electricity and the use of solar panels. A solar photovoltaic installation with a capacity of 100 kW and solar water heaters with a capacity of 2,000 liters have now been installed. In the future, we plan to increase this figure several times...
