Samarkand State University was visited by a delegation headed by Professor Hiroaki Kawabati from the Japanese University of Aichi Prefecture. The guests were received by SamSU Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Akmal Akhatov.

      The main purpose of the visit is to develop international cooperation between the parties.

    During the talks, an exchange of views took place on the issues of establishing student exchanges and the participation of faculty in academic programs and joint scientific projects.

     - I have heard about Samarkand several times, I have always been interested in its history and culture, - said the head of the delegation, Professor Kawabati Hiroaki. “Today I am a witness to living history. I liked it very much... I was surprised by the long history of Samarkand State University. In addition, since there are many educational areas in your university… I am convinced that SamSU museums are invaluable. I was especially impressed by the Zoological Museum. I think our cooperation will be beneficial for both parties...

     Also, members of the delegation held a meeting with professors and students of Samarkand State University and got acquainted with the activities of the university.
