The journal "Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry" published an article "Neutron activation analysis of archaeometallurgical ancient artifacts found in Uzbekistan" by Akbar Alibekov, junior researcher at the Scientific and Educational Laboratory of Nuclear Physics and Astronomy of Samarkand State University. in the international database Scopus [Q2, Impact Factor=1.754, Cite Score=2.5].

In the article, the quantities of 34 elements in ancient metallurgical slags and artifacts found by archaeologists at the medieval settlement "Eski Khovos" in Uzbekistan were studied by the neutron activation method. This information is important for Uzbek archaeologists and allows us to study the production of artifacts in the Middle Ages and the technological achievements of that period.

The article is devoted to the use of nuclear physics methods in archaeological research under the guidance of Iosif Sharonov, senior researcher at the Educational and Scientific Laboratory of Nuclear Physics and Astronomy.
